Abbotsford, BC – November 6th, 2018. This November Trident specifically focuses on the topic of sustainable dairy farming. Trident’s Ag division will take part in the 2018 Sustainable Agriculture Summit on Nov 14-15 in Denver, CO and at the California Dairy Sustainability Summit on Nov 27-28 in Sacramento, CA.
Sustainable Ag Summit
The Sustainable Agriculture Summit is an annual event where processors, regulators, farmers and organizations like Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy gather, to discuss and advance the state of sustainable agriculture in the United States. And needless to say, it’s a privilege for Trident to be invited once again to support the event as a technology expert.
“We will share our perspective on what resource recovery technologies can currently contribute to the sustainability approach of livestock producers. And what will be possible in the future”, comments Frank Engel, Director of Marketing at Trident Processes. He continues, “The impact of these technologies goes far beyond just manure management on the farm. A responsible use of resources like water and nutrients continues to gain importance for consumers. And this demand for sustainability carries on through the entire supply chain.” Food companies, for instance, have developed internal sustainability guidelines they strictly adhere to. Another example are environmental credit models that large corporations have started to participate in. To summarize, sustainability is a topic that affect multiple layers of our society.
California Dairy Summit
The inaugural California Dairy Summit is hosted by Dairy Cares, California Dairy Research Foundation, California Dairy Quality Assurance Program, Dairy Council of California and Real California Milk. The event will showcase how the state approaches the development of sustainable dairy farming. For example, how can farmers combine improved environmental practices and new business opportunities. We at Trident see an opportunity to offer a lot of value and invite attendees to visit our booth #102 to learn about advanced resource recovery. We look forward to educating attendees on how these technologies can be utilized in California and beyond the state’s borders.
