Amsterdam, NED – June 22, 2018 Over 60 participants from around the world attended the Global Dairy Farmers (GDF) Congress on June 18-21 in Europe. Dairy farmers, processors, equipment providers, NGO representatives, Nuffield Scholars, academia and other industry experts met to discuss the current state and future of dairy farming. GDF President Ad van Velde and his team arranged a mix of presentations, panel discussions and site visits that created an excellent platform for exchange. Sustainability requirements, animal welfare, optimizing production or the use of artificial intelligence for farm data management were only some of the topics that were discussed in detail. The group started in Berlin, GER and travelled to Amsterdam, NED and concluded to Congress in Bologna, ITA.
